Design Service
Design & Cut is happy to offer a design service to those that require it. We will endeavour to discuss every aspect with you along the way to ensure you get the best result for your stickers and labels.
We provide a basic design service free of charge, anything more than this and we will agree a nominal (and extremely reasonable) artwork fee with you.
Already have the artwork? Design & Cut can work with your existing artwork files, however these must be in a suitable format* otherwise we may have to make a charge for our time in converting your files to a workable format.
*We prefer to work with vectors (in particular eps files) over raster graphics (eg bitmaps), the reason for this all comes down to the fact that we want to supply you with high quality stickers and labels. The Inks
The inks we use produce brilliant graphics and to keep those graphics looking so good the inks are water, scratch and UV resistant. These inks will last up to three years outdoors without lamination. We of course offer a lamination service where appropriate with the aim of increasing the outdoor durability of our inks.
The majority of our work falls into the following categories:-
- Full colour printed vinyl
for example: signs when full colour logos are needed or special effects are a must, or indeed our business card stickers.
- Pre-coloured vinyl cut to your design
for example: a blue boat name or perhaps a black decal for your car
- Full colour printed static cling
for example: full colour car window stickers that can be repositioned, are easily removed and even reuseable
The Cut
We can contour cut (die cut) your stickers and labels to any shape required, imagination is the only boundary, the media itself will be cut to the required shape but the backing paper will remain uncut.
We can also perform "cut thru" or individual cut out stickers which is when the blade goes through the media and the backing paper.
The above two cuts can be combined (at no additional cost), for example if we were producing 4 inch circular car stickers that are to be given out at a trade show, we could die cut the sticker as a circle of 4 inches, to make these easily peelable we can then "cut thru" a 5 inch circle. The stickers will be individual stickers and therefore easy to hand out, rather than being in sheet form with say 10 to a sheet and they are easily peelable as there is a border of backing paper around the sticker itself.

We can now supply your printed stickers and labels on rolls. Standard shapes (rectangular, square and circular) in standard sizes are available in any quantity you require. Special order sizes and/or shapes are available on rolls for quantities of 5,000 or more (we can of course still supply smaller quantities of special order stickers and labels in sheet form or as individual cut out stickers).
Stickers and labels supplied on rolls can be produced on either paper, vinyl or an even tougher plastic. With quality being kept top notch - we can print these stickers and labels at a fantastic 4,800 dpi.
